The series, starring Adam Brody and Kristen Bell, was called a return to romantic comedies of the real kind, and the freshness brought by focusing on characters who are more mature, with experiences, some baggage and their own history, compared to the more popular young adult romances of recent times, made Nobody Wants This a hit.

We haven't yet received an official release date from Netflix, but Jackie Tohn, who plays Esther Roklov in the series, shared with The Direct during MultiCon that Nobody Wants This is targeting a fall 2025 premiere. So we won't have to wait that long at all for the new episodes.
And a premiere in the fall of 2025 makes sense. Nobody Wants This season 1 reportedly was filmed from February 2, 2024 to May 16, 2024, and was released on Netflix on September 26, 2024. If the crew maintains a similar pace, then Nobody Wants This season 2 with a fall 2025 premiere is as possible, as shooting for the new episodes began on February 24, 2025, as Tohn and later Bell confirmed at the 2025 SAG Awards.

Nobody Wants This season 2 will see the return of Kristen Bell as Joanne, Adam Brody as Noah, Justine Lupe as Morgan, Timothy Simons as Sasha, Jackie Tohn as Esther, Michael Hitchcock as Henry, Stephanie Faracy as Lynne, Paul Ben-Victor as Ilan, Tovah Feldshuh as Bina and Sherry Cola as Ashley. And they will be joined by Leighton Meester, who guest stars as Abby, Joanne's nemesis from middle school who is now an Instagram mommy influencer; and Miles Fowler, who will play Lenny, Noah's Matzah Ballers teammate who gets set up with Morgan.
