Overwatch 2 for Free; Early Access Release Date Revealed
Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the PvP mode in Overwatch 2 will use a free-to-play model. We also learned the early access launch date.
One of the most important games shown during the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2022 was Overwatch 2, the sequel to the popular online shooter from Blizzard Entertainment.
The trailer shown contained numerous gameplay fragments and some key information:
- PvP mode will use a free-to-play model with microtransactions.
- From this, it appears that the co-op mode will be paid.
- Early access will launch on October 4, 2022.
- A new female protagonist, Junker Queen, was revealed.
- A separate show was also announced, dedicated entirely to Overwatch 2. The presentation will take place on June 16.
