Mighty Ramattra Charmed Overwatch 2 Fans [UPDATE: Season 2 Trailer]

Season two of Overwatch 2 is just around the corner, so Blizzard took a moment to present Ramattra, the recently announced tank, in his full glory. On the other hand, we are expecting to learn the content of the battle pass any day now. There will also be a new map.

Update

As announced, Blizzard released a trailer for the second season of Overwatch 2 (below). In the first part, it focuses on the previously revealed character - Ramattra. In the second, however, it takes a look at the new map (Shambhala Monastery) and the content of the battle pass planned for the second season - we can see some upcoming skins, including the legendary "Zeus" for Junker Queen.

We also learned that we are in for a limited-time game mode called Battle for Olympus - it will be made available on January 5, 2023. More details can be found on the official website.

Original message

Next Tuesday (December 6), Overwatch 2 will be enriched with another hero. As you already know, it will be Ramattra, playing the role of a tank. Since the announcement of the hero, the community has had concerns about access. Unfortunately, for the time being, Blizzard has not dispelled the doubts - for this we will have to wait until tomorrow.

Blizzard, however, has not left us with nothing. In recent days, four videos have been published, presenting Ramattra's story, his design, as well as gameplay strategy. More on that is revealed in the gameplay, which you can watch below.

The character seems powerful - this is also suggested by the skill description, which you can read in the screenshot below - although his usefulness on the battlefield will undoubtedly be adjusted to the other heroes.

Season 2 is just around the corner

Ramattra will make its way into Overwatch 2 with the start of the second season (December 6). We don't know much about him for now. As I mentioned earlier, this will change tomorrow - Blizzard is expected to present a fresh trailer, as well as battle pass content. However, on December 2, which is next Friday, a new map will be demonstrated.

Community pleased and bewildered

The community seems satisfied with Ramattra - at least "on paper." Admittedly, some people complain that the gameplay with this hero is a bit chaotic and it's hard to judge what's going on around him, but most agree that it looks impressive. A few sample player reviews can be found below.

"He looks very interesting, but it's hard to tell what his projectiles are," wrote Scrotus_MaximusIII / Reddit.

"Honestly, I feel the same way. I've watched the trailer several times, but I can't tell exactly what's going on there," notes Gryphic / Reddit.

"I had to watch the trailer at 0.25, but it seems to me that he shoots very small splinters [...], maybe you need to zoom," writes TheBigKuhio / Reddit.

"He seems like an amazing assault tank. He may have some defensive shortcomings, but he should still be able to cut the other team down if you play him right. A great character," praises Blue Knight / YouTube.

"I love him. His personality and gameplay seem amazing, just like the Sigma at launch," notes Little Heck / YouTube.

"I didn't understand his skills before, but now [after watching the gameplay - ed. note] I still don't understand them," points out Lilyanna / YouTube.

Overwatch 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne, XSX/S and Switch.
