Patch 4 for Enshrouded Promises Big Improvements. Highly Rated Survival RPG Takes Players to Frozen North with New Weather System
Enshrouded will soon receive its „biggest update to date.” The fourth update will introduce many new features, including a huge biome, a weather system, and additional skills.
In August, the developers of the survival game Enshrouded shared information about the great sales of their title in early access (a total of 3 million people purchased the game). Today, Keen Games studio announced more good news that will interest players who regularly play the highly rated (85% of reviews on Steam are positive) co-op RPG.Another big update is coming to Enshrouded and according to the developers it will be "the biggest update yet."
The devs mentioned the upcoming innovations very generally but emphasized that they will provide more details on them in the coming weeks. From a short video, we learn that Enshrouded will be getting:
- the first new biome (developers will expand the northern part of the map and enrich it with cold, mountainous terrains) with an additional quest line as well as enemies, weapons, crafting materials, and furniture;
- a range of new skills;
- weather system;
- farm animals, which we will be able to keep in our hideout.
Furthermore, in update number 4, the developers aim to raise the maximum level of the character (by an additional 10 levels) and also bring "more life" into the game by improving and diversifying the behaviors of non-playable characters, making them more active. The new update will also fix further bugs reported by players.
Unfortunately, Keen Games cannot yet provide an estimated release date for the discussed update to Enshrouded. The full version of the game is set to be released in 2025 - also on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
