Stellar Blade is available on PC. However, some players, instead of enjoying the game, are struggling with technical issues. So, let’s talk about FPS drops.
What's a game release without technical errors? Modern games often have issues. Players who want to play the newest productions often struggle with different bugs. While the PC port of Stellar Blade is better than most, some people still report crashes and FPS drops. We have already given tips to the first problem. Now, let’s focus on the second one in this guide.
Like I mentioned earlier, the full version of Stellar Blade has some performance issues. Luckily, most of players enjoy the game without bigger problems, however, we will not leave those who have FPS drops without help. There is one trick that helps many people. First of all, you should try restarting Steam and PC. It’s the simplest way to fix stuttering. If this is not enough, try other basic solutions like:
These solutions can solve the problem with FPS drops very quickly. If they didn’t help, you should check your graphics card drivers – especially if you have Nvidia GPU. Some players report that GeForce Hotfix Driver 576.66 can be the problem. It looks like this driver resolved Dune: Awakening crashes but at the same time, it has caused players to have performance issues in Stellar Blade. So, to fix this problem, you should reroll and install older drivers. You can do this via the official Nvidia website – you must simply choose your GPU, OS and language.
If the above didn’t help, you should check the specifications of your PC and compare it with games’ minimum system requirements. Fortunately, they are not very high.
Of course, if you have the possibility, install the game on SSD. This should increase game’s performance. Additionally, it’s also worth checking your RAM – if you use old DDR4 technology, it can be simply too slow.
