Playerunknown's Battlegrounds getting new weapons and performance tweaks this week

Bluehole continues to upgrade Playerunknown's Battlegrounds. This week the popular competitive online shooter is getting two new weapons as well as performance and balance tweaks.

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is getting a new update this week, which is going live on Test Servers today and should be on Live Servers by Thursday. The patch is going to improve server and client performance by reducing the amount of data being sent from the server to the client as well as some optimizations. It also adds two new weapons: Groza assault rifle, available in care packages only, and P18C pistol with full-auto fire mode. Moreover, there are several gameplay upgrades coming up as well as loot balance and overall tweaks, which you can read about in detail in this post on Steam.

Lately, Bluehole has been busy improving Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds’ performance as well as cracking down on cheaters. The developers have banned over 25,000 cheating players in the last 3 months and are working on new protective measures. In the future they are going to implement scaling obstacles mechanics, dynamic weather as well as a completely new zombie mode.
