Portal Reloaded Mod Introduces Time Travel

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the release of Portal 2, the mod Portal Reloaded was released on Steam Workshop. It offers a new single-player campaign, in which the gameplay is enriched by the possibility of time travel.

PORTAL RELOADED IS:
  1. A fan-made mod for Portal 2;
  2. A new campaign offering 25 test chambers;
  3. Gameplay expanded with time travel.

Two days ago, Portal 2 celebrated its tenth birthday. It is not expected that Valve will develop a third installment in the near future, but fans of the brand cannot complain about the lack of new adventures, as the game still boasts a very active modding community. The latest project developed by it is the extensive mod called Portal Reloaded, which not only offers a new campaign, but also significantly expands the gameplay mechanics, enriching them with time manipulation .

The mod is available on Steam Workshop, so we don't have to play around with manually downloading and extracting files to the right folders. The Steam client will do it all for you.

Players take on the role of Test Subject 4-5-0-9, whose job it is to test Aperture Science's latest invention. The device can create three types of portals. As well as the familiar orange and blue, which connect two points in space, we can also use the green one to create a passage to a world 20 years in the future.

Enriching the gameplay with the ability to travel between the two versions of maps enabled the authors to prepare fresh puzzles, which are not just a repeat of the challenges we are accustomed to in the Portal series.

The mod offers 25 test chambers to overcome. The project is very well made, both in terms of graphics and sound. The developers have prepared an extensive soundtrack and over a hundred new dialogue lines.
