Portal Revolution is the recent small Steam hit. However, it is not a regular game, but a mod. It is modification to the popular and loved by many fans Portal 2. Nevertheless, the project is quite ambitious and gathered more players than many commercial titles. It is especially impressive, taking into account that the original is 13 years old (well, portal is rooted deeply in gamers hearts). Many fans ask one question, though – can you play Portal Revolution in coop with friends? Let’s answer that.

Portal Revolution – Coop and Multiplayer Explained

Portal 2 is a cooperative game. Many people expected the same from Portal Revolution. However, it is not the case. The mod is a single player experience. Modders from Second Face Software did not explain their reasoning behind this. Taking into consideration that it is a free to play project of passion, there are many potential reasons for that – personal preferences, lack of time, technical restrictions or lack of further funds do finish it. Regardless, the outcome is the same.

While the mod does not have a multiplayer segment, there is probably a chance that some other modders will make “ a mod to the mod” which will add this feature. Of course, we can’t cross out the possibility that creators themselves, at some point, will implement this mode. Nevertheless, for now, you can only enjoy the title on your own.
