Quantic Dream Working on AAA Game Other Than Star Wars Eclipse (Rumor)

Unconfirmed reports have appeared that Quantic Dream is currently working on three games. It's possible that in addition to the recently announced Star Wars: Eclipse we'll also get a medieval fantasy game.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • A source known as AccountNGT claims that Star Wars: Eclipse is not a priority for Quantic Dream.
  • The studio is allegedly working on a mobile game and a AAA production, the action of which is probably set in a medieval fantasy world.
  • AccountNGT reports coincide with the rumors of Tom Henderson.
  • Henderson believes that Star Wars: Eclipse was built on the remains of Project Karmawhich the studio was supposed to be working on around 2013-2014.
  • According to him Quantic Dream is looking for a buyer who will provide the studio with cash and employees.

A Twitter user AccountNGT has shared further reports about the alleged situation of Quantic Dream. In one of the tweets he stated that the company's Paris-based - main - division is currently working on a cross-platform AAA game, which will also be released on last-gen consoles (PS4, Xbox One). Its action may be set in medieval fantasy climates.

This, as well as previous posts by AccountNGT, suggest that it's not about recently announced Star Wars: Eclipse, but a currently undisclosed game. It's worth noting that the source uploaded a graphic from the trailer for SW: Eclipse a few days before its official presentation.

Additionally, his profile is watched by Jeff Grubb and Geoff Keighley - famous experts in the industry. Therefore, there are many indications that his reports may be - at least in part - true. In today's tweet AccountNGT wrote:

It's doubtful that Star Wars: Eclipse will be the next work of Quantic Dream. The studio has been working on a mobile game since at least 2019, and has been chiseling away at a second AAA production since the release of Detroit: Become Human. So no new game before 2025/2026?

The studio is also said to be working on a mobile game at the moment, titled Spellcaster (according to AccountNGT it's being developed on the Unity engine) and a full-fledged AAA production called Dreamland. The action of the latter would take place in a medieval fantasy world - Which coincides with the tweet of AccountNGT.

Unfortunately, 2018's accusations of racism and sexism certainly don't help in finding potential investors. Additionally, the studio has specialized in making "interactive movies" for years (few gamers remember that Quantic Dream-developed RPG Omikron: The Nomad Soul), so the aforementioned Dreamland could be a kind of warm-up before the big brand, which is Star Wars.

It's worth remembering that the above information is not confirmed, and it's better to treat it with a pinch of salt.
