Saints Row Reboot in First Gameplay

Volition shared a new video from the new Saints Row. It contains the first fragments of gameplay and enables us to take a closer look at the city where the game will take place.

One of the most talked-about announcements at this year's gamescom turned out to be Saints Row, the reboot of the popular action game series from Volition. Last week, however, we could see only the story trailer. Now the developers have shared a new video with some gameplay footage.

The video is titled Welcome to Santo Ileso and it introduces the fictional region where the game will take place. Most of the video is devoted to explaining the approach to world design. A lot of fragments on the game engine were used, which enables us to look at how the graphics of the environment will look like.

The video also contains a few short sequences of pure gameplay, featuring mainly combat. They constitute only a small part of the whole material, but they are still worth watching, because this is the first gameplay from the new Saints Row, which was made available to the public.

In addition, we can see the diversity of the main criminal groups that we will battle for power in Santo Ileso. Marshall corporation will send against us trained killers with the most modern equipment. Panteros gang members will be mainly brutes relying on simple and devastating attacks. While the so-called Idols are anarchists who rely mainly on numerical superiority.

Recall that the reboot Saints Row is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The launch will take place on February 25, 2022.
