Skaven is the fourth playable race in Total War: Warhammer II - see the new trailer

It has now been officially confirmed that Total War: Warhammer II is going to feature playable Skaven, a famous Warhammer rat-like race. Watch them in action in this new trailer.

SEGA and Creative Assembly have revealed another playable faction in Total War: Warhammer II. This one is Skaven, the rat-like race living under the ground (they made an appearance quite recently in a pretty successful 4-person co-op game Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide). Their hordes will come out to the surface to wage war under the command of Queek Headtaker and Lord Skrolk, spreading “pestilence and mayhem across the face of the New World”, the official press note has it. Here’s a new cinematic trailer, starring both Skaven and a bunch of powerful monsters coming along with them:

The Skaven have been hinted at from the very first announcement of Total War: Warhammer II, as fans were able to spot one of the Rat-men in the reveal trailer. The other three playable races that have been confirmed so far are: High Elves, Dark Elves and Lizardmen.

The game is launching on September 28, 2017 for PC. By the way, those who pre-order Total War: Warhammer II will get a bonus DLC, called Norsca, which is to introduce another playable faction for the previous installment, i.e. Total War: Warhammer.
