Starfield Without Further Delays? Info Suggests So

Bethesda has confirmed that it still plans to release Starfield in the first half of the year.

Bethesda has updated the section dedicated to Starfield on its official website. In the Q&A section it was confirmed that the game's release is still scheduled for the first half of this year..

  1. This deadline is not new. It was given in May 2022, when the game's delay was announced.
  2. Why is confirmation of these plans important? Because of Redfall. Last year, the delay of this game was announced simultaneously with Starfield's delay and both games were moved to the first half of 2023. Yesterday however, reports emerged that the former of the games may suffer a slight delay - previously rumored to have a March release, and now speculation is that it will not happen until May.
  3. Alleged problems of Redfall have caused concern among those waiting for Starfield, especially since Microsoft will likely want to avoid releasing two major games close together.
  4. An update on Starfield should therefore reassure the players.

Recall that Starfield is heading exclusively for PC and Xbox Series S and Xbox Series S consoles, and the game will simultanously be available as part of Game Pass on all hardware platforms.

Initially Starfield was supposed to debut last year, but the developers feared that without a delay the game would be a disappointment and could turn out to be a "a second Cyberpunk 2077".
