Update

Spiders announced that Steelrising will be released on September 8, 2022.

Original message

We received the first gameplay from Steelrising, thanks to which we got a closer look at how the soulslike action RPG from Spiders (creators of i.a. GreedFall). Additionally, we also found out that the game's release has been delayed. The game's tab on Steamposted information that the title will go on sale in December 2022 - until recently, the game was scheduled for June release.

The video has been made available on the Game Informer channel on YouTube. The material focuses mainly on the presentation of combat. We see how the protagonist uses a rich arsenal - including steel fans.

The gameplay footage also presents some enemies. One of notable points is Bishop of the Cité, one of the bosses in the game. He has a great, original design - as do many other elements of the game. On the other hand - the character animations are quite clumsy and the frame rate suffers from regular drops.

Steelrising is set in an alternative version of Paris from the time of the French Revolution.. In this world insurgents fight against the army of King Louis XVI consisting of humanoid automatons. We play as one of these machines - Aegis - whose task is to protect Marie Antoinette. The title is set to hit PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
