Tekken 8 sold 3 million copies. Bandai Namco revealed Season 2 first character
Anna Williams will return to Tekken 8 at the start of Season 2. Along with her, Bandai Namco's fighting game will receive more than 1,500 balance changes and important improvements.

3 million copies sold and the return of an old friend - here are the New Year's news for Tekken 8 fans.
Bandai Namco also revealed the first character that will be added to "Tekken 8" as DLC in Season 2. It's Anna Williams, the deadly sister of Nina Williams, with whom she has been competing practically since the first installment of the series (with some breaks...).
Traditionally, the developers also showed a few gameplay fragments, thanks to which fans can check how the second of the Williams sisters has changed in Tekken 8. Apart from the obvious addition in the form of a rocket launcher.
Anna Williams will be available in the game for all players on April 3rd, with early access starting on March 31st.
3 million copies, 1,500 changes
Katsuhiro Harada (the father of Tekken) announced that the second season will feature the debut of a completely new "original character" in the series' history. This information was conveyed during the stream dedicated to the second season of Tekken 8.
Of course, Season 2 is not only about four new characters but also includes changes in the balance and mechanics of the game, as well as in the ranking mode. The last one will undergo significant modifications to become fairer and less frustrating, including the addition of "correct" matchmaking based on players' skills.
Developers also confirmed fixes related to the Heat system (which had been nerfed but apparently needs further refinement) and controls (in the context of "accessibility"). Bandai Namco is preparing a really big patch, with approximately 1,500 changes expected. Perhaps this will compensate for the lack of balance adjustments in the latest patch (which was justified by important tournaments that took place this month in Japan and Europe).
By the way, during the stream, it was confirmed that 3 million copies of Tekken 8 have been purchased since its release.
