Tenet is Yet to be Released, and it's Already Conquering the Box Office

The whole world is waiting for Tenet, and cinemas that collect huge pre-purchase money and prepare schedules for several dozen screenings a day are a definitive proof of it.

Is Nolan the savior of cinema?

"Finally," is what someone would like to say. The premiere of Christopher Nolan's Tenet has already been delayed three times, but it seems that nothing can stop it now. One of the hottest movies of the season will make its debut on August 26 across Europe.

This is particularly evident in the UK and Ireland. These countries intend to limit the repertoire of multiplexes exclusively to Nolan's latest production. In the English cinema Cineworld in Wolverhampton there will be as much as 29 screenings a day (although this is physically impossible). The Welsh cinema Odeon in Cardiff (16 screenings per day) and the Scottish Vue Ocean Terminal in Edinburgh (19 screenings per day) are no worse.

One of Europe's largest cinema chains, Vue, launched pre-sale of tickets for Tenet on Tuesday night. In less than 24 hours, more than 60% of seats were sold out in all the UK halls. If the current pre-sale popularity affects the film's actual commercial result, we can be sure that more delayed films will start entering the cinemas. This will be great news for Disney, which still has Mulan in its sleeve.

A handful of behind-the-scenes details have also been confirmed, which are even more encouraging to see Nolan's film. Admittedly, the director has already accustomed us to the fact that computer special effects are kept to a minimum and he does not like stuntmen, but it seems interesting to see the novelty of recording each scene twice - traditionally and from behind. We will see the effect of these works in less than two weeks.
