A huge modification for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim finally received a release date. The project the size of a full-fledged DLC will provide many hours of fun.
Bethesda remains tight-lipped about The Elder Scrolls VI, but fans of this fantastic RPG series would likely be eager to return to Tamriel. While waiting for the sixth installment, however, you can remind yourself of the twelve-year-old Skyrim, which is the last major part of the series. A good opportunity for this will be the premiere of a big modification to Bethesda's game, both for the standard version and the Special Edition.
The fans of Skyrim who are responsible for the mod Lordbound have unveiled a new project trailer (below) that discloses its estimated release date. If there are no delays, we will play this modification before the premiere of TES VI. Lordbound it is scheduled to be released in March 2025.
If you have been following most of the updates regarding the discussed modification, you will realize how significant the announcement of its debut date is. Lordbound was announced back in 2016, so the project that caught the attention of thousands of Skyrim fans will be released almost a decade after the release of its first trailer.
The mod will introduce a new region to the game, which will be "larger than the entire island of Solstheim." The plot of Lordbound will focus on the inhabitants of the Druadach Valley, long isolated from the rest of the world, who have become embroiled in a conflict with the Imperial Legion. For this reason, the settlers are forced to seek shelter in the nearby Highreach, where Lord Haelan is stationed.
The player will join the man on a journey aimed at discovering the truth about his family's past. Throughout the adventures, we will make crucial choices that will impact our interactions with the encountered characters (including orcs and the Legion) and the destiny of the entire valley.
The creators of the modification claim that it will be as big as standalone story expansions released by major development studios. Lordbound is set to offer over 60 hours of adventure and plenty of new content to enjoy. Besides the new region, it will be:
Interestingly, all NPCs in Lordbound are to be fully voiced. Furthermore, the project creators have taken care of a dedicated soundtrack.
