What would a brutal action RPG combining medieval and sci-fe look like? This question is answered by The Last Oricru, one of Koch Media's new projects, which will be released under the publisher's new brand: Prime Matter.
Koch Media revealed a sizable collection of titles it will release under a new publishing brand called Prime Matter. One of them will be The Last Oricru - a next-gen action RPG developed by GoldKnights.
The Last Oricru is supposed to emphasize narration and player's decisions, which suggests a non-linear plot, It will present the story in a world combining the Middle Ages with science-fiction and engulfed in a devastating war. The devs also promise brutal combat using melee weapons or magic (including boss fights) and typical for the genre character progression. The title will offer solo or co-op experience, and will be released in 2022 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Passionate about video (and other) games for years, he completed an Mba in linguistics, defending a thesis about games. He began his adventure with Gamepressure in 2015, writing in the newsroom, later also covering film and – oh, horror! – technology (also contributor to the gaming encyclopedia). He started with platformers, which he still dearly loves (including metroidvania), but he's also interested in card games (including 'analog'), brawlers, soulslike games and basically every other type of game. Don't ask about the graphics – after a few hours of exposition, he can be delighted with pixelated characters from games that remember the days of the Game Boy age (if not older).
