It's been a while since you played a Rogue, but you're lacking build inspiration? This weapon, although difficult to get, will become your ace up your sleeve.
Rogues are one of the most classic classes in RPGs, including Baldur's Gate 3, that everyone wants to play, even if they're not sure how to build them properly. Bewitching NPCs with your charisma, backstabbing, and picking locks don't necessarily require physical strength. That's why some people might be put off by a more paper-based character.
Of course, that doesn't mean there's a shortage of suitable weapons. This particular weapon, although extremely difficult to get, will often help us get out of the most difficult situations.

The Justiciar’s Scimitar is a weapon that no Rogue, including Astarion, would turn down. We're talking about some really rare and powerful purple category weapons here, the kind that will definitely come in handy until the very end. However, as we mentioned, finding it is not the easiest task. We need to show not so much strength, but cunning and curiosity.
The first step is to go to the Gauntlet of Shar: the infamous location in Act 2 of BG3, which is a nightmare for every fan. The key is to look around the eastern part of the place, a bit away from the first ball mechanism – approximate coordinates are X:-721 Y:-752. You'll find some rocks there that you have to climb down to get to a not very inviting hole full of rats.
Since we're already talking about rats, we need to somehow deal with them. You can either resort to violence right away or start with a polite dialogue - to do this, you need to interact with the nearby book (written by Rafael himself!) and use Speak with Animals. No matter what we choose, we're going to have to fight with a whole bunch of rats.
It will soon turn out that the rodents are actually the Dark Justiciar Lyrthindor, the last of his order. Lyrthindor won't be happy about his "cover" being disrupted, so we can expect another clash soon. After the fight, looting the weapon and shield will be just a formality.

By using the Justiciar’s Scimitar, we have a chance to blind the enemy when attacking with advantage, which we also gain when fighting enemies in darkness. The weapon also has a special attack called Shadowsoaked Blow, which uses the proficiency bonus to increase damage and deals psychic damage on a successful throw.
The most important thing is that this doesn't break the concealment. Being alone and in hiding, we can attack the target without engaging in combat. Thanks to this, you'll be able to make two attacks before the enemy even realizes you're there, which works great for taking out isolated opponents. According to internet users, the weapon will be perfect for a Rogue and Way of Shadow Monk build.
