Norland, the great hope of fans of city builder games and kingdom simulators, will be released in Steam Early Access.
Norland will launch in early access in a few hours, offering a promising city-builder strategy game where players will oversee a medieval noble family.
The publisher of the game is Hooded Horse. Under its banner, a few months ago, one of the biggest Steam hits of this year was released, the city builder Manor Lords. However, the company isn't attempting to replicate its offer, as Norland, despite representing the same genre and medieval setting, is expected to be a significantly different game.
The developers drew fully from RimWorld and the Crusader Kings series. Norland focuses on the characters and their interactions. Each subordinate is expected to have a distinct personality that impacts the course of the game. Moreover, the game will offer a system of random story generation, constantly providing new challenges.
Norland has 57,000 followers on Steam, making it the second most anticipated release of the year at the moment (with Dungeonborne, set to debut tomorrow, being the leader). Whether the devs will manage to fulfill the hopes placed in them, we will find out in a few hours.
It's worth mentioning the system requirements of the game. These are rather low, so the vast majority of players should have no problems running Norland.
