Ubisoft had to take the floor to clarify doubts about the season pass for Star Wars: Outlaws.
Last week, Ubisoft spoiled the atmosphere of joyful anticipation for the release of Star Wars: Outlaws. The reason for this was the high prices of the special editions of the game (on PC: $109.99 for Gold and $129.99 for Ultimate Edition) and a rather controversial season pass.
A season pass for two expansions isn't surprising. However, players were annoyed by the fact that people with this pass will get access to the exclusive mission Jabba's Gambit on the day of release.
Of course, it's still frustrating to cut off players with the Standard Edition from a mission that's already prepared. Until recently, Ubisoft offered such bonuses as pre-order gifts. It's enough to mention The Forty Thieves adventure from last year's Assassin's Creed: Mirage or the quest Way of the Berserker from Assassin's Creed: Valhalla could also be unlocked through Ubisoft Connect for 60 Units points, earned through various activities within the publisher's ecosystem.
Last year, the company departed from this scheme in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora by offering an additional mission called Familiar Echoes on the premiere day for season pass holders, introducing the same solution that has now caused confusion with Star Wars: Outlaws.
Star Wars: Outlaws is coming to PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5. The game is scheduled to be released on August 30th of this year.
