While Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 might not be perfect (read our review to learn why), it features some interesting mechanics. However, they can be not easy to grasp – Codices, Distant Land or even destroying buildings. Adding to the latter, we should talk about one more thing – Quarter. How does it work? What is it? We will tell this in our guide.

What Quarter is in Civilization 7 (Civ 7)

A Quarter is a unit of your town. It is formed when two non-Wall structures from the same Age / two Unique Buildings / a full-tile building occupies a District. This construction can be buffed by various policies and adjacencies. There are some Unique Quarters which grant additional bonuses and feature distinctive art.

Unique Quarters in Civilization 7 (Civ 7)

  1. Acropolis (Greek) – construct Odeon and Partheon in the same District. It gives you +2 Gold for each City-State you are Suzerain of.
  2. Forum (Roman) – construct Bassilica and Temple of Jupiter in the same District. It gives you +1 Culture and Gold for every Unique Tradition in the Government.
  3. Matha (Mauryan) construct Dharamshala and Vihara in the same District. It gives +10% Hapipiness in this Settlement.
  4. Necropolis (Egyptian) – construct Mastaba and Mortuary Temple in the same District. It gives 100 Gold (Standard Speed) when any Wonder is completed in this City.
  5. Uwaybil K’uh (Maya) – construct Jalaw and K’uh Nah. Every time you research a Technology, this Settlement gains Production equal to 15% of its cost.
