In 2019, Guy Ritchie returned to gangster cinema with the successful film The Gentlemen. This production pleased the audience with its fast-paced action and polished dialogues, for which the filmmaker is beloved in the world of cinema. However, no one expected the story presented there to continue, but Ritchie decided to once again dive into the world of The Gentlemen with a spin-off he created in cooperation with Netflix. This time, however, we won't be dealing with a movie, but a TV series.

In The Gentlemen TV show, we meet Eddie Horniman, who inherits his father's sizable estate. This, as it turns out, is part of a marijuana empire. What's more, a whole group of representatives of the British crime scene wants to grab the business for themselves. Determined to get his family out of the clutches of criminals, Eddie tries to play their game with the gangsters. What he doesn't expect is that along the way he might grow fond of the world of crime.

When will The Gentlemen premiere and how many episodes will there be?

The Gentlemen will hit Netflix on March 7. All episodes, of which there will be eight, will be made available immediately. The series has been watched by critics already – there are 11 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and 73% of them are positive, so it looks like the series will be quite good. The Gentlemen is supposed to be a gangster story that doesn’t take itself too seriously with great humor and colorful characters, although some critics say the story has been diluted.

Netflix's The Gentlemen stars Theo James, Ray Winstone, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Giancarlo Esposito, Chanel Cresswell, Michael Vu, Max Beesley, Jasmine Blackborow, Harry Goodwins, Dar Salim, Pearce Quigley, Ruby Sear and Peter Serafinowicz.
