WoT is now 15 years old. Devs prepared attractive prizes for players and a moving video
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of World of Tanks, the game's developers have prepared special activities for players and a video that shows that tanks can bring people together for years to come.
It's hard to believe, but this year marks 15 years since the release of World of Tanks - one of the most popular MMO games of the last decade. On this occasion, Wargaming studio prepared a special anniversary campaign, which will last from August 8 to 31, 2025.
Promoting the event, the developers shared a touching video titled "15 years of friendship: a journey through memories," which is a tribute to the community.
World of Tanks is not just about creating epic battles, it’s about building lasting friendships. Over 15 years, our players have formed bonds as strong as the tanks they command.
The video tells the story of Alex and David - two players whose friendship was born out of a shared passion for World of Tanks. The camera follows their relationship from their university days, through joint life decisions, to adulthood and family. This is a story about how a game became the backdrop for a relationship that stood the test of time.
Birthday attractions in the game
As part of the 15th anniversary celebrations, players can expect many surprises and exclusive rewards. Among them we will find:
- anniversary album - available in the Garage, it will allow you to open envelopes with gifts and memories from the game's history every day (for instance, you can get the AMX ELC 90 tank in a special version);
- anniversary battle pass - a new chapter with an exclusive French heavy tank level VIII - Brennos, unique crew members, and cosmetic items;
- new game mode: Overwhelming Fire - available for two August weekends in a special Game Machine;
- veteran in-game bonuses - players who registered their account before April 14, 2012, will receive a special 15-year badge. In every battle they participate in, all players will earn +15% more credits;
- anniversary streams - the Wargaming team has prepared a series of streams with giveaways of premium tanks of level VIII-IX, skins, styles, and other rewards.
