Red Dead Redemption 2: A Fisher of Men - walkthrough

A Fisher of Men is one of the main missions available in the second chapter of Red Dead Redemption 2. Time to slow down with the action - Abigail has asked you to take her son to fish. This mission serves as a tutorial for the fishing system in RDR2.

How to unlock: Speak with Abigail in the gang hideout.

Walkthrough: Speak with Abigail. Then, you have to go to her son, Jack. The boy is in the hideout. Approach him and ask if he wants to go fishing. Mount your horse and take the boy to the river.

Reach the fishing spot. The game will now show you the tutorial for fishing. The mechanic is rather simple - select the right bait, cast your rod and wear down a fish by moving your rod in the opposite direction when it tries to swim.

Your task is to catch a few fish. Watch a cut-scene during which Arthur encounters two law enforcers - luckily, no blood will be shed. Take the boy back to the camp.

How to get a gold medal in A Fisher of Men?

• After arriving at the river, catch a fish within 1 minute and 30 seconds - Take out your fishing rod and immediately start fishing. The key here is to quickly reel the line.
• Complete the mission in less than 7 minutes and 20 seconds - Catch fish as fast as you can. Then, you have to ride with Jack to the camp.
