Subnautica: Crash Zone - biome guide

It's a large area, which will initially be inaccessible. That's because the entire region is irradiated, and you'll going to need a radiation suit to survive here. Its recipe will be unlocked automatically after the explosion of Aurora.

The area is easy to identify due to the light brown-ish color of the water. Another characteristic feature is the lack of plants. What's abundant, though, are pieces of the wreckage, from which you can acquire new recipes.

The whole area is covered with various pieces of the Aurora.

1. You can also find lots of scrap here. On the cliffside some distance from the wreckage, you'll also find limestone, sandstone, and shale outcrops. Additionally, you can explore the wreckage itself, gaining many precious items.
2. The Crash Zone is a very dangerous biome. The main danger are the Reaper Leviathans, patrolling the area around the wreckage. Additionally, you can encounter Sand Sharks and Stalkers near the seabed. It's recommended to explore the area in a vehicle.
3. The wreckage of the Aurora found in this area is a great navigation mark.

In the initial stage of gameplay, when you lack a compass, the wreckage can be used as a guidepost when moving around the map.
