Almost every decision made during Rogue Trader carries some weight. If you still cannot decide whether to land on Footfall incognito or on official business, check this page of our guide, where we show what may happen if you don't reveal your true identity when docking.
At the beginning of Chapter 2 of Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader, Vox Master Vigdis Surri Otta will ask you whether you want to make an official landing on Footfall or go in incognito. Don't worry - this choice doesn't affect the plot that seriously.
If you decide to officially announce your arrival before meeting Liege Tocara, you'll be able to decide in some of local Footfall matters, but the local authorities will perceive you as a threat.
We recommend choosing the first option and landing on Footfall incognito. With this choice, you will avoid unnecessary attention that an official landing could have brought, and additionally, you'll have more dialogue options to choose from during various conversations or events that will take place on this planet.
Additionally, going in incognito will allow you to impersonate Fidelio at the funeral ceremony during Underworld quest. There are two variants of this quest, but if everyone knows your name, you'll block yourself from the possibility of inheriting the estate of the deceased.
