Scanning characters is one of the main mechanics of Watch Dogs Legion, which allows you to learn the details about the given person. Based on this information, you will be able to determine whether a person is really useful in your team. Below, you will find the exact description of what the scan can reveal.
The first time you perform a scan, you will only get some basic info. It will allow you to pre-determine whether the character will be useful. But you will not learn their opinion about DedSec. You can only learn that once you decide to start recruiting them. You will then receive an enhanced version of the scan.
