ACNH: Fruits - how to get different ones? All fruit trees

In this section of our guide to Animal Crossing New Horizons, we explain where you can get new species of fruit, as well as how many of them you can get in the game world.

Coconuts are probably the first fruit you get in the game.

When you start playing Animal Crossing on your island you will find only one species of fruit trees. You have to get the rest on your own - it's not difficult, but - if you don't have friends who also play AC - it may take you a long time.

Fruit species

In Animal Crossing New Horizons you will find six different varieties of fruit, namely: They are:

1. Apple
2. Cherry
3. Coconut
4. Orange
5. Pears
6. Peaches

Where can I get the other fruits?

There are two ways to get new fruits that you don't have on your island yet.

1. Travel to other islands by using Dodo Airlines - occasionally on such an expedition you will find a new tree. You can also get new fruits when you get to an island full of tarantulas or stones which drop money. Unfortunately, whether we succeed or get to a poor island next time depends on our luck.
2. We can also get new fruit from friends who already have it. It's definitely a better and faster solution - but it also requires paying for a Nintendo subscription that allows you to play with other players.

How do I plant a tree?

Coconut will only grow on the beach.

To plant a new tree you need a fruit and a shovel. First, dig a hole in the ground at some distance from other trees or objects - the tree needs space. Then, open your inventory, click on the fruit and select: plant option.

Remember that you can plant coconuts only on the beach - and the rest of the fruits only on green grass.

After a few days, a new tree will grow from the seed. It will grow new fruits regularly.
