ACNH: Mail - when does it come?
Here you'll find out how the mail system works in Animal Crossing New Horizons.

In Animal Crossing you will experience a real-time day and night cycle. In the case of the post office, it simply means that the ordered goods will reach you tomorrow - in real life, of course. If you don't know exactly how this system works, please read this page of our guide.
If you have ordered something from a Nook Stop ATM at Resident Services, you will receive it the next day - and you can pick it up from the mailbox in front of your house.
Letters to residents
Animal Crossing mail allows you to send postcards to your neighbors. In this way you will give them pleasure, which sometimes may grant you an extra gift from them.

To send your card to one of the inhabitants of your island you have to go to Dodo Airlines airport - there you will find a card stand. Sending one card costs 200 bells.
