Starmetal fragments are the collectibles from the quest Forged of Star-Stuff from the game Avowed. From the guide you will learn where to find the star metal, where the master Forgemaster Dela resides and what unique items can be forged from star metal.

Starmetal in Avowed is tied to the Forged of Star-Stuff side quest. This guide page lists all 4 Starmetal fragments. You will also learn where to find the Forgemaster Dela and which unique weapons he can create for you once you provide these special crafting materials.
You can collect the Starmetal fragments in any order you want. In our list, they're grouped according to their locations. You don't have to get them all at once. The quest will begin after collecting the first Starmetal, after which you can go visit the Forgemaster.

#1 Dawnshore
Visit the Godless Altar in the southeastern part of the map. It is part of the larger Southern Embrace area. You must defeat a group of xaurips and take a unique crafting material from the altar.
#2 Emerald Stair
Reach the Damp Burrow in the northeastern part of the map. This place is the lair of the ogre Iscern. You can search for the unique material before (stealth) or after the fight with the ogre.
#3 Shatterscarp
You need to infiltrate the Abandoned Mine: it is located east of the Ancient Lakebed. The mine has only one entrance from the west side, shown in the screenshot.
In the mine you need to locate a small crater with the Starmetal.
#4 Galawain's Tusks
Visit the Ash Forest in the northwestern part of the region. There is a large crater there as shown in the screenshot. Taking the material may cause the Destul boss to appear - fight him or quickly leave this location.
Forgemaster Dela and crafting Unique Starmetal gear
You will find a use for the collected Starmetal fragments only after advancing to the fourth region - Galawain's Tusks. You can then visit Solace Keep: this is the most important allied location in the eastern part of the map.
After unlocking access to the interior of the fortress, use the elevator and then take the stairs leading down, i.e. to the forge.
When talking to the Forgemaster Dela, you can bring up the topic of Starmetal. The premise is simple: Dela can craft unique items for you based on the fragments you provide him with. Each item requires 1 Starmetal.
Initially, Dela will present you with a choice between 2 different weapons. He can craft:
- A Unique Sword: Meteor Blade;
- A Unique Arquebus: Moonstrike (firearm).
Each of the items listed requires 1 Starmetal. It's not all though, as Dela can also craft better versions of both of the aforementioned weapons. You need to allocate 2 more Starmetal fragments for this, so you will ultimately use up all 4 materials you have collected.
