Dave the Diver: How to catch a Coral Trout?

In Dave the Diver, some fish are harder to catch than others and this is the case with the Coral Trout, which is often needed for certain dishes or to complete a quest. On this page of our guide, we offer some tips on how to prepare for fishing and where to search for Coral Trout.

Where to find Coral Trouts?

Coral Trout is one of many species of fish inhabiting the Blue Hole. Before you embark on a fishing trip with an intent to catch this species, make sure that:

1. You have Diving Suit Lv3 equipped - can be bought in iDiver app after spending the required amount of gold. You'll need this upgrade, as Coral Trouts most of the time appear on depths varying from 50 to 130 meters, so you'll need to do down a little bit deeper than during initial dives.
2. You have the Cargo Box upgrade - also bought in iDiver app. A single trout weighs 3kg, so with default carrying capacity, you'll only be able to take 3 with you.

1. After descending to 50-130 meters, look for small red fish.
2. If you're using the Harpoon Gun, be prepared that a single hit won't be enough and you'll need to hit it once again. You may also need to take part in a mini-game of wrestling with Coral Trout. When such a mini-game is initiated, to succeed, you need to press SPACE rapidly.

Uses for Coral Trout

1. Coral Trout is used as an ingredient in 3 different dishes. The first of them is Coral Trout Sushi, and the next ones are unlocked as you progress through the game.
2. Coral Trout is also an objective of one of the quests from Chapter 3, in which you need to catch a specified amount of this fish.
