Description:

his mod restores the ability to slam horizontally and upwards when using the Ground Slam ability. Aiming upwards was originally possible (!) in the main game, but this feature was removed when the Foundation DLC was released.

Without going into spoiler territory, the Foundation DLC involves several areas gated by vertical height, so the change was likely made to ensure that the player could not visit certain areas in the DLC earlier than intended.

However, horizontal slams were a great mobility tool for Jesse and it's a shame to lose the ability everywhere else in the Oldest House, so I've worked to restore this functionality. Just try to avoid using it in the Foundation to get to places you wouldn't otherwise be able to reach!

This mod requires the Control Plugin Loader.

Usage

Aim up, and slam!

Slamming horizontally is a fast way to cover ground in the Oldest House. Aiming upwards can also get you to places that are hard-to-reach.

Accidentally step off a ledge in the Firebreak? Slam your way back up instead of slowly floating downwards to certain doom.

Installation

1. Install the prerequisite: Control Plugin Loader.

2. Extract SlamUp.dll and SlamUp.ini into the following folder: <Control Installation Directory>\plugins. Create the plugins folder if it does not exist.

3. Launch the game.
