Homeworld is a franchise that probably every fan of science-fiction/RTS has at least heard about. The year 2022 will be the moment of her great return, and there's people in our office who will certainly rejoice. Homeworld 3 is the next, full-blown installment of this series (the first one since 2003), which will take players into this great universe again. The last entry in the series, the spin-off Deserts of Kharak, focused on land operations, but this time, we're going straight back to the roots, baby.
The creators promise the most extensive entry in the history of the series. Players will be able to lead their fleets to victory in a diverse and dangerous environment. Forget about fighting in vast and empty space. Instead, the developers will take us to areas full of giant wreckages and places affected by extreme phenomena, such as particle storms.
The game will also be faithful to the assumptions of the previous installments of the series. We will manage the troops in all three dimensions. We not only have the ability to deliver frontal attacks, diversion from behind enemy lines, or flanking maneuvers. In addition, we will also be able to try to surprise enemies with attacks from below or from above. The outer space is where true freedom resides. If the spectacular visuals and such an original gameplay idea still don't cut it for you, you might also be tempted with the engaging story that continues the threads of this epic space opera from previous installments.
