What is Temtem?

A network role-playing game, very much inspired by the cult series Pokemon. The fun in Temtem, like in the Pokemon games, focuses on exploring a variety of lands in search of the creatures that can be caught and then used in combat.

What is the gameplay like in Temtem?

This production will offer six visually different islands, and types of creatures. More than 150 different themes, divided into twelve types, are waiting for you. You can also cultivate and develop the creatures to get stronger varieties. A team of six pets will fight against the Temtems of other players and computer-controlled characters as part of online games or an extensive story campaign.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

I have been interested in online games for a long time, so Temtem surprised me a lot. I know how harsh Nintendo treats any attempts to copy or fake the Pokemon series. Still, there's plenty such games on the market, often with extended network aspects. You could write a dissertation on their legality (or rather illegality), and so I greeted Temtem with relief.

Temtem is – simply put – Pokemon Online, although this is a kind of a simplification. I dare say that this indie production is ahead of the prototype, introducing its own solutions and ideas into the genre. I had the opportunity to try Temtem in alpha, and I know that this will be the first game from the Early Access service that I will buy. This is sure a good game, although certainly not getting enough attention.
