June looks like a very busy month for players! We've got two major titles incoming, both of which should compete for GOTY title. Apart from that, there's also a plethora of smaller, but equally interesting games coming. The question is: how do you find time for that? Especially if – like me – you're going to spend most of the summer on a farm. Not the prehistoric one, but also not the most recent – it dates back to 2004, but will be released in new form. So, we hope no one will complain about the lack of games this month!
Street Fighter 6
Release date: June 2, 2023
Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, XSX/S
Approximate price: $60
Accessible fighting for everyone?
The Street Fighter series comes back to the streets in its sixth installment. Literally, because the main theme is supposed to be street culture. We will see the well-known characters again, although there will also be three new ones: Russian Johann Pavlovich, French supermodel Manon, and Marisa from Italy. The main attraction should be the alternative control system, which will allow even complete beginners like me to find their way in this fighting game.
A fancy brawl
Street Fighter 6 doesn't want to appeal only to veterans of the genre, but also caters to newcomers. There will be no need to memorize complicated combos to perform powerful attacks. The whole process will be simplified by the Drive indicator, which provides access to special techniques. We will also receive the so-called World Tour, i.e. story mode, where we will create our own character and teach them different martial arts.
