  2. Key games: Resident Evil, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident 5
  3. Distinguishing features: Composure

Jill Valentine is a member of STARS (Special Tactics And Rescue Service) – an organization used by the Raccoon City Police Department to work on the most difficult and dangerous anti-drug and anti-terrorist operations. In the first Resident Evil, together with Barry Burton (in her storyline), she traveled through the estate of Spencer, full of chimeras and other zombies – a scientist conducting deadly experiments on living organisms.

At the beginning of the series, she was portrayed as being slightly weaker than her companion, but able to collect more items. She also had a better arsenal at her disposal. From the fictional perspective, her greatest advantage seems to be self-control. Jill was able to keep her cool even in hopeless situations, having to fend off waves of mutants.

One of the protagonists of the first part of Resident Evil became so popular with players that after the sequel, which was slightly weaker in terms of both the story and the mechanics, it was decided that she should become the central figure of part three. Jill returned many times in this series, challenging the Umbrella corporation and Albert Wesker, over time becoming the heroine not only more powerful physically, but also enjoying superhuman skills for some time, as a result of experiments carried out on her.
