What is Godfall?
Godfall is one of PlayStation 5's launch titles. Is it a selling point for the Japanese next-gen? Surely Godfall is betting on spectacularism, as melee combat promises to be extremely thrilling. It blends RPG with action and looter slasher, set in high fantasy, and might as well be the dark horse of November. Or Godfall can be completely disappointing, too.
What will Godfall offer?
At this point, Godfall is not expected to surprise players in terms of story. Nothing unusual; humanity is threatened with extinction, and the only salvation is the protagonist. As a member of the order of knights, we must do our best to save what is left of the world and ward off the chaos. Most of our time will be spent fighting the swarms of enemies. Dynamic combat and skirmishes with bosses, in which you will need to use other abilities of the character and look for weak spots of the enemy. There will also be character development and upgrading of powerful armors.
OUR EXPECTATIONS
It's amazing no one's ever done that before. Or at least didn't execute it right. It's so simple – take Diablo gameplay and move the camera to TPP. It took us twenty-five years to get here! Okay, let's be serious. It's not that easy. If it were, maybe we'd still be playing Hellgate: London to this day. Godfall, frankly, also does not promise to be a game that will redefine the industry. Still, it looks nice, and I shall play it once I get a chance. A beta, for example. An open one.
