The Call of Duty series does not need to be introduced to any player. Thanks to technological progress, it has become possible to transfer the uber popular franchise from large platforms to mobile devices. Available on Android and iOS phones, the production quickly turned out to be a great box office success.

The download count exceeded 650 million, and there's no indication that it will stop there. However, downloading the production is not tantamount to playing it. How many people are actually competing in the online shooter? Activision Blizzard does not provide details. It only says that almost as many people played on phones each month in 2021 as there did on consoles and computers. It's also known that a large percentage of all players are Chinese. It just shows that entering the Asian market was a great decision from financial perspective.

Owners of appropriately strong smartphones are not only eager to play the mobile version of Call of Duty. They also don't spare money on micropayments. The free-to-play game grossed over $1 billion in 2021 alone. Apart from the inhabitants of China and the United States, players from Germany and Japan are also eager to spend their money.
