Forever Skies is a survival game that requires you to constantly gather resources and process them. On this page you will learn about the tools for obtaining materials and how to use them.
Stationary Extractor
Stationary Extractor is the stationary version of the handheld extractor. With it, you can destroy elements of the environment, such as flying clouds of metal and synthetic fibers, or parts of buildings left by civilization. The stationary version has a huge range and must be mounted on your ship, on the outside. After aiming at the highlighted item and holding down the left mouse button, you will obtain materials from the object.
Extractor (handy tool)
Extractor works in exactly the same way as its larger stationary version, but you can create and use it from your inventory. This gauntlet upgrade will allow you to fully clear any location from the inside that is hard to reach with the on-board model. In some cases, this version of the extractor is required to access barricaded places in locations. The device wears out after each complete cycle. You need a tool charger to recharge the battery. After aiming at the highlighted item and holding down the left mouse button, you will obtain materials from the object.
Knife
Crafting a knife will allow you to gather the necessary resources from the flora you encounter . A crafted knife does not wear out and, just like in the case of extractors, it allows you to get rid of obstacles that block individual rooms with additional supplies. The knife will also help you obtain biomass, which is an important resource needed for crafting items and fuel. After aiming at the appropriate object, you will see a knife icon next to the crosshair. Then just click the left mouse button to acquire the material.
