Because Forever Skies debuted in Early Access, it is not polished yet and can have dips in performance. Let's explore what can be done about it.
There is something magical and mesmerising about survival games that keeps drawing people in. Is it the feeling of exploration that sends the chill down our spines, mystery that’s hidden in the world or ability to create something from nothing? The sheer number of new survival games shows that we still want to play them. Yesterday we have witnessed another one of those – Forever Skies. It allows us to uncover secrets of post-apocalyptic Earth dipped in survival sauce. The game shows colourful and vibrant world yet unfortunately it struggles with performance and resolution issues. Let’s find out how to mitigate this problem.
As a huge number of survival titles come from independent game studios, which are often their debut creations, they struggle with performance. Forever Skies is no different. Players have reported low frames per second even on more efficient cards like Nvidia RTX 3080Ti.
Let’s not forget that this title just entered Early Access program on Steam. It shouldn’t be surprising that the performance can be suboptimal. The initial reviews that can be found on the game’s Steam page, even though small in numbers (around 150 reviews at the time of writing the article), are promising. The title has received very positive feedback which gives lots of hope for the future.
