Adventure games. They include three fundamental elements: exploration, solving puzzles and strongly emphasized story. Controlled characters collect items and use them in puzzles in order to push the story further. Adventure games usually offer only single player mode and the point-and-click interface. This category includes also HOPAs (Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure games) which put emphasis on searching items hidden on the screen.

A horror-themed action-adventure game allowing us to assume the role of Juliette Waters, a woman whose occupation is recording the voices of spirits. Interestingly enough, Sylvio is a project of an independent developer, Niklas Swanberg. Our heroine travels to an abandoned amusement park, left to decay after a powerful storm had led to a landslide. It quickly turns out that the spirits living in the park are very vicious, and the whole area is under the influence of a mysterious curse.

An unusual adventure game by tiger & squid, and independent Dutch studio. The protagonist of Beyond Eyes is a ten-year-old girl named Rae who lost her sight in an accident while firing up fireworks. Ever since that day, she spends most of the time in the garden next to her house, accompanied by a cat named Nani. One day, the animal disappears, and Rae decides to leave the house for the first time in a long time to find her lost pet.

A classic 2D point-and-click adventure game with extremely characteristic visuals inspired by such artists as H.R. Giger and Zdzislaw Beksinski. This is a debut project by the Polish three-man studio OhNoo. During the game, you assume the role of a nameless hero who travels through a surreal world on the border between dreams and nightmares. The protagonist knows neither his identity nor the reason why he's stuck there. His mission is to find out the truth about himself and the world around him.

The game was developed by Microids studio, whose back catalogue includes, among others, the cult adventure game series, Siberia. The protagonist of this game is Franklin Fargo, a PhD of physics kidnapped by a shady organization. The game begins when he wakes up in a mysterious facility, already under the alias of Subject 13. As you might guess, from there on the main task of his is to escape. The gameplay is based on exploration of 3D environments and interaction with its elements.

White Night takes place in 1930’s, following a hero trapped in an old family mansion that hides a dark secret of the past. Our main enemy are the dark and mysterious creatures that dwell in it, forcing us to solve many puzzles based on light and dark mechanics.

In the game we play a mysterious, hooded figure with a scythe that travels through the interior of an ancient castle. This time our protoplasta tries to stop the dangerous temptations of the evil queen from the small planet Zennity Sping, who tries to subjugate the neighboring planet Folderakkiakyu. The game is inspired by genre classics and refers to adventures published by Sierra and LucasArts from the 90s.

The story of the game continues the plot of its predecessor. Lucius, the only survivor of a massacre in his family mansion, is moved to a mental hospital in Ludlow city, where, while initially missing his paranormal abilities, he starts another massacre.

The gameplay focuses on visiting locations, gathering evidence, and dialogues.

She embarks on a journey through the mysterious world, trying to learn all its secrets.

Gameplay is based on exploration (on foot or by boat) in search of any items that could give the boy some relief.
