An unusual adventure game developed by independent studio Deconstructeam. The title focuses on moral dilemmas and the necessity of making choices. During the game, the players control humans that face hard life situations. Their decisions can impact the fate of many people. The player will for example assume the role of a terrorist who must guard a group of hostages or a scientist who has 48 hours to develop an antidote for a deadly virus. The gameplay focuses on interacting with surroundings and solving dilemmas. Each scenario is fully non-lineal and requires not only a different approach, but can be completed in various ways as well. Thanks to the advanced AI system, the characters in the game react dynamically to changing situations and they take various actions that can lead to player’s failure. Old school pixel art graphics are also what makes the game unusual.

A free-to-play third-person action game designed mainly with multiplayer gameplay in mind. The title is set in the universe known from the cult Legacy of Kain series, although the story is unrelated to the previous games. The game was created by a small studio Psyonix, who worked on the multiplayer modes for games like Bulletstorm, Gears of War, or Mass Effect 3. In the game you can play as either a human or a vampire, fighting in a war for control over the world. Depending on the faction you choose, gameplay looks slightly different, as the humans prefer to use advanced technology in combat, while vampires rely on their special powers. Each side offers three character classes and experience-based character progression system. As the creators intended, the micropayment system used in the game is rather modest and the transactions give no one an upper hand in combat.

In opposition to other, similar titles, the authors placed a lot of emphasis on the plot and motivations of the individual heroes, learned through numerous materials released for the community. The authors also introduced a complex karma system that stresses cooperation and support for less experienced players. Complying players are rewarded with karma points, while those less cooperative are labeled by the community. The game contains a unique communication system.

Plot-wise, Might and Magic V: Darkside of Xeen is the final chapter in the story of two vicious enemies: Sheltem and Corak. Having defeated the demonic Lord Xeen, the player's party follows prince Roland on the dark side of the planet, the place where the final battle of the guardians is to take place. When it comes to gameplay mechanics, the fifth installment doesn't introduce any novelties, relying instead on proven solutions of its predecessors. Due to the plot continuity with the fourth part, the game offers the option to import the characters used by the player in Might and Magic IV. As a homage to the fans of the series, both titles can be combined into a single game, enabling the player to explore lands and quests unavailable in each of the games separately.

The villain has imprisoned prince Roland and queen Kalindra and bribed the local monsters, after which he sent his general, known as Lord Xeen, to the light side of the planet who then kidnapped its governor and took over the sky castle. After the defeat of the demonic ruler, it turns out that the said Alamar is the Guardian Sheltem himself whom we have pursued from the very beginning of the saga. The most important bonus of the compilation are the additional quests and locations that are unavailable in either game separately. Releasing both titles on a single CD allowed the developers to enrich their content with high-quality digitalized dialogues.

Apart from that, the expansion introduces mysterious artifacts, which can be of use in the confrontation with Lindenaria. The last novelty is the Heroic Adventures system, which makes sure that the items and enemies found in locations are appropriate for your level — thanks to it, when visiting one location several times, you may end up finding different loot.
