Another expansion to The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar developed by Turbine Entertainment. As the title suggests, this add-on allows players to visit the plains of Rohan – a kingdom that has to face armies of orcs marked with the sign of the White Hand. The player is tasked with supporting the warriors led by Burnoth, son of Baldeg, in the fight against the forces of Evil, as well as facilitating the alliance with the Ents – the ancient dwellers of Fangorn. The Lord of the Rings Online: Riders of Rohan expands the in-game world by the titular realm (featuring area twice as large as the one introduced by the Mines of Moria expansion) as well as two minor locations – the area surrounding Fangorn and the Hill of Amon Hen. These, however, are not all the novelties introduces by the expansion, as the level cap has been raised to 85, and the players get a war horse (one receives this faithful steed upon completing a special task). The war horse is not only a new means of transportation, since it also supports our character in battles against new types of enemies, such as the Warg Riders. Moreover, when mounting a horse, player’s character gains access to additional unique abilities. Joining other riders allows the players to mount charges or take a more tactical approach and attack the enemies from the flank. To top it all, the expansion allows the player to rebuild the burnt city of Snowborn by completing hundreds of side quests.

A dark, Victorian-themed adventure game developed by Ynnis Interactive, an independent French studio. The story takes the player to the mysterious Blackwood Manor, where the female protagonist died years ago. Her name was Abigail, and her spirit has been summoned once again. The protagonist has to find out what happened here after she died, and what was the cause behind the Manor's abandonment. The game employs the popular point-and-click mechanics and the gameplay itself consists mainly of exploration and puzzle solving. However, the game is innovative in several aspects, simply because the protagonist does not have a body anymore. Thus, as a spirit, she is capable of traveling through walls, ceilings or floors. Accessing different locations is by no means problematic, which applies to hidden areas as well. Consequently, the game does not feature a standard inventory, for the spirit can possess an item in order to use it in puzzle solving instead.

A 2D roguelike game with logic elements, inspired by the simple, yet perfect Hoplite. In Lamp and Vamp, the player assumes the role of a vampire, who sets off to search for the stronghold of his dreams. The road to success is filled with dangers – on his journey, the main protagonist has to face the villagers, guards, and priests, who all are hostile towards bloodsuckers hanging about their neighborhood. The gameplay is turn-based and is set on small, procedurally generated maps, on which the player has to reach a safe place represented by a coffin. This is not an easy task since, apart from the hostile people, the vampire has to avoid spotlights generated by the lamps some of the adversaries are carrying with them – the light drains the protagonist's vital energy nearly as efficiently as a wooden stake. All the health points the player loses can be regained by biting the necks of victims, which is very risky and requires one to remain hidden. As the game progresses, the player can develop the vampire’s statistics and activate special abilities useful in completing consecutive tasks.

Mechanics-wise, the game resembles old-school platformers, especially games commonly referred to as metroidvania titles, which had their golden age on 8-bit systems, such as NES. Games of this kind are characterized by open world filled with secrets and collectibles that usually improve the abilities of the player character. As the protagonist gains new abilities, subsequent regions of the land are opened for the player to explore - in new areas, increasingly stronger enemies can be encountered.

Like the previous expansion to the game (Safe Heaven), the Lost Contact DLC is a variation of the game’s Survivor Mode. However, in this particular DLC, the player returns to the Sebastopol space station and assumes the role of Axel. Gameplay mechanics build on the exploration of a new map, which now includes private Lorenz quarters and the station’s backup power generator area. The mission introduced by Lost Contact is divided into 10 challenges and features significantly higher difficulty level resulting from the fact that this time around the players have to fight off enemy waves of androids, humans and the Alien itself. In comparison the previous Alien: Isolation expansions, Lost Contact significantly stands out - during the mission, players have a lot of ground to cover. Moreover, should one fall in battle, he has to start all over, since he failed to complete the task he was assigned with. What makes it all slightly easier is the ability to construct useful items - this includes some new weapons such as a revolver or a crossbow.
