Absolute Tactics: Daughters of Mercy is a tactical RPG. The game was developed by Curious Fate, an independent studio (founded by Jason Sields, a member of the Gearbox Software team who worked mainly on the Borderlands series), and published by Akupara Games.
Absolute Tactics: Daughters of Mercy takes us on a journey to a fantasy land. This once colourful and peaceful place fell victim to the attack of mysterious invaders. The game's main protagonist is Huxley, who, accompanied by his faithful dog Max, travels the world to assemble a team that can fight off the enemy forces and send them back to where they came from.
In Absolute Tactics: Daughters of Mercy the action is presented in an isometric view. During the game we explore the game world, which consists of various maps; among the locations waiting to be visited we can find both seemingly idyllic countryside, as well as gloomy underground or ice-capped mountain peaks. While exploring these locations, you'll not only complete tasks and learn new story threads, but also assemble a team. A good team is essential to successfully face the enemies that abound in the locations you visit.
Battles take place in turn-based mode, and navigation on the battlefield is facilitated by the presence of square fields, which cover various maps. During battles, as important as skillful use of the abilities of individual characters (representing a variety of classes) is the proper spacing of units. In addition, we must carefully observe our opponents to discover patterns of their attacks, gaps in defense and other potential weaknesses. Although most of the time we fight on a relatively small scale, from time to time we take part in large battles played out in vast arenas.
As we progress, we develop the hero and his companions; we can also make them into two-class characters (21 professions are waiting to be tested). In addition, we increase their combat potential by equipping them with increasingly better equipment. What's interesting, the skills of our soldiers can be useful both on the battlefield and outside it. The visited locations are full of various terrain obstacles, traps and puzzles.
Absolute Tactics: Daughters of Mercy allows only to play solo. The game offers three difficulty levels and a hardcore mode waiting to be unlocked.
