Release Date: November 25, 1999
A turn-based strategy taking place in the fantasy world, which draws on a handful of series such as King's Bounty and Heroes of Might and Magic. In production we play the role of the leader of one of the twelve races and start a great adventure. While playing, we cross the map, fight and develop the hero and his subordinate army.
Age of Wonders combines enthralling fantasy storytelling and adventure elements with a classic turn-based strategy game. In the first days of the world, all things living were ruled by Elven. He was eventually succeeded by a mage-king by the name of Inioch, who cleverly balanced the forces of light and dark. Until a new race called Humans emerged.
Lured by the splendor and beauty of the Promised Lands, Humans entered the Elven Court after a long siege. Unable to stop the barbarian invaders, Inioch was brutally murdered along with his court. The only one to survive the slaughter was Meandor, son of Inioch, who managed to escape and establish a secret sect called Storm Cult. After years of long-lasting wars, Earth finally knows peace again. However, a star lights up above the Elven Court, heralding big changes or a cataclysm. The Storm Cult gets ready for war…
