Astroneer: Glitchwalkers is the first major expansion for the sandbox game titled Astroneer, allowing us to play as astronauts exploring alien planets. The DLC was developed by the authors of the base game, namely the independent studio System Era Softworks.

Plot

The action in Astroneer: Glitchwalkers takes place in a new planetary system, or more precisely – on the planet Aeoluz. It is the largest and most complex of all the globes we have been able to visit so far. The plot of the expansion focuses on a rebellious astronaut who hacked into the system and took control of a great power, threatening anyone who tries to stand in their way. Of course, our task is to thwart their plans before it's too late.

The main cons of the game

  • Repetitive Gameplay: Many reviews highlight that the gameplay loop becomes monotonous, with players having to complete similar tasks multiple times without significant variation.

  • Technical Issues: Users reported numerous bugs, including vehicle glitches and issues with terrain navigation, which detracted from the overall experience.
  • Lack of New Content: There is a perceived lack of new items, vehicles, or significant gameplay mechanics, leading some to feel that the DLC does not justify its price.

  • Integration with Base Game: Players expressed a desire for the DLC to be more integrated with the base game, allowing for interplanetary travel and the ability to bring back resources.
  • Expanded Content: Many hoped for new resources, vehicles, or building options that are not present in the DLC, which would enhance the gameplay experience.
  • Improved Mechanics: Suggestions for better mechanics or features that could add depth to the gameplay, such as new challenges or unique items, were common.
  • Quality of Life Improvements: Users mentioned that certain gameplay elements, like the research system and terrain navigation, could use enhancements to improve the overall experience.

Summary
