Banished for PC is a strategy game developed by a team at Shining Rock Software, in which the player's task is to manage a small village. Mechanics of the game are much more cruel than in other productions of this genre, and our village is constantly threatened by hunger, disease, dehydration, natural disasters or drought.
Plot
The game starts with the player taking command of a small group of people cast away from their hometown. After a long journey to uncharted lands, they finally find a place suitable for settlement. Their only resources are their clothes and a few cars with basic raw materials. Our first task is to ensure that this small population remains alive. Once that it is accomplished, then we can take steps to transform this small community into a powerful nation.

To achieve all these goals, we command our subordinates hunt, gather, or trase. Banished gameplay mechanisms are far more ruthless than what i most games of this genre offer. Being a virtual leader is not easy, and every bad decision can lead to mass deaths. Cold winters are one of the biggest threats. To survive them, it is necessary to sew warm clothes, build houses, and collect firewood. The problem is that the massive deforestation will quickly reduce the population of the animals living in the wild which has a negative impact on the effectiveness of hunters. Excessive expansion of fishermen will lead to the extinction of fish in rivers and ponds. Over-exploitation of arable land leads to . In addition, our village regularly attracts the local nomads. Accommodating them allows you to quickly expand your population, but also increases the chance of a plague outbreak. Crop failures, fires and droughts are also a major problem to be dealt with.
The main resource in Banished for PC are the settlers themselves. With time, they will grow up, have children, and die of old age. Our task as a leader is to ensure the satisfaction of their needs. We need to find the right balance between carrying out this task, and the risk posed by depletion of all raw materials. The game lacks any development trees. Instead, having the proper resources, we can build every possible structure.
