Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is an action adventure game, as well as a spin-off of a popular hack and slash series. The game was developed by PlatinumGames and released by Nintendo.

Plot

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is a prequel to the series' main installments. The titular heroine still bears the name Cereza and is just starting to practice magic. In order to deepen her knowledge and save her mother, she delves deep into the Avalon Forest, accompanied by a demon named Cheshire.

Mechanics

The gameplay in Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is shown from an isometric perspective. Throughout the game the player explores the world, fights encountered enemies and solves environmental puzzles.

What's important is that both Cereza and Cheshire are controlled independently of each other - each with a single joy-con. Overcoming obstacles thus requires coordination between both playable characters.

Technical aspects

Visually, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is reminiscent of comic books. The game makes heavy use of cel-shading.
