Besiege for PC is a physics-based simulation game which is very original in its design, as it also includes some puzzle game mechanics. The players construct their own siege engines to eliminate the enemy forces and destroy their fortifications. The developer responsible for the creation of the game is the small indie studio Spiderling.

The game puts the players up against a series of various challenges – from destroying simple structures (e.g. windmills), through annihilating hosts of enemy knights, to sieging heavily fortified strongholds. Your machine needs to withstand the enemy attacks and heavy artillery fire and break through the enemy defenses. You will have countless parts at your disposal to construct your own siege engine.

The developers have prepared a sizeable set of single player missions as well as a sandbox mode. Despite the focus on the medieval era, the players are not limited to using the machines from that particular period. The more clever constructors will be able to give free rein to their imagination, by creating simple flying machines, flamethrowers or tanks – able to return fire at your enemies. There is no shortage of humor in the game, the players will encounter some unusual enemies like giant lawn mowers and exploding cattle.
