Beyond The Wire is a multiplayer team shooter set in the realities of World War I, where, playing the soldier of one of the three factions, together with other members of the group we fight for victory. Redstone Interactive is responsible for creating the game.
Beyond The Wire is a multiplayer FPS taking place on the battlefields of the World War I. By taking one side, we're fighting tactical battles with other players in the 50 by 50 mode. The game was created by Redstone Interactive studio together with Offworld Industries, which has a lot of experience in creating multiplayer PvP shooters thanks to such titles as Post Scriptum or SQUAD.
In Beyond The Wire we play the role of one of the thousands of soldiers taking part in the fights that took place during the World War I in 1914-1918. Thrown into battle on the western front, we have to get rid of as many enemy soldiers as possible.
Beyond The Wire is a game that focuses on realism and immersion, offering a multiplayer mode for 100 people at a time. There is no chaotic rush here, because every bad move can end tragically for us. Therefore, the skirmishes here are fully tactical and require good teamwork in order to effectively eliminate enemy units. For this it is necessary to communicate with your allies via the team chat included in the game.
We have the opportunity to use many authentic models of weapons used by soldiers during the World War I. Some of them have been slightly modified, just to make the game more balanced and enjoyable. The arsenal is quite large, so everyone will find the most convenient option for themselves. From machine guns, through pistols, to snipers; each has a different reloading time, storage capacity and bullet spread. We also have a bayonet that uses a limited amount of stamina, but which can save the situation in many cases.
The creators have also focused on immersion in terms of the camera, because we observe the whole thing from the first person perspective, moving on large maps made with attention to detail. There was no shortage of typical for this period trenches, large spaces and others.
Beyond The Wire features realistic three-dimensional graphics to capture, at least in part, the horror and brutality of war. There was no shortage of blood, torn limbs and other gory images.
The game was created on Unreal Engine 4.
